At this time, I do not accept insurance. However, I can provide superbills upon request that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
Many clients choose private pay to keep their therapy more confidential, flexible, and personalized.

I provide HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients who prefer the comfort and flexibility of virtual therapy. This includes both individuals and couples located anywhere in Colorado.
How do I schedule a session?
You can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation by emailing me directly at [morgan@indeepshiftcounseling.com].
If we’re a good fit, we’ll set up an initial session and begin with intake paperwork.
Is therapy confidential?
Everything shared in therapy is held in confidence in accordance with state law and the ACA Code of Ethics.
The only exceptions are:
If you are at risk of harming yourself or others.
If there is suspected abuse of a child, elder, or dependent adult.
If records are subpoenaed by court order.
We’ll talk through these limits clearly in our first session.
What is your approach to therapy?
I practice from a depth-oriented, relational lens that integrates:
Existential Therapy (exploring meaning, freedom, and self-awareness)
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Gestalt (experiential therapy), Attachment Theory, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
I will also draw from dream work, symbolism, and art therapy if I feel it is a good fit. Sometimes, I will employ the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy if it is a suitable step in our work together, and the Gottman Method to teach basic relational skills.
Sessions are collaborative and focused on helping you return to your authenticity.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Late cancellations or no-shows are charged the full session fee, as that time has been reserved for you. If you reschedule with me for a later appointment in the week, your cancellation fee will be waived.
How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?
It’s okay if you’re unsure. That’s what the free consultation is for.
My style is warm, honest, insight-driven with touches of humor. This generally feels good for people ready to go deep, even if they feel a little scared to. I'm also very interested in what you are looking for in a therapist and how I can best serve your needs.
If we’re not the right fit, I’ll gladly refer you to someone who might be.
How long is a therapy session?
Typical therapy sessions are 50 minutes for both individuals and couples. Couples may also consider 90-minute sessions to go deeper.
What happens in a typical session?
Each session is shaped by what you bring in, whether it’s a specific situation, an emotion, or something hard to name. We may explore patterns, identify inner parts, unpack core beliefs, or sit with what feels unresolved or unknown.
Sometimes sessions feel like a conversation. Sometimes they may feel like slowing down enough to actually feel. Our work will always be collaborative. I won't give you a quick fix, but I’ll walk with you as we face the real stuff together.
Couples sessions are structured to support connection and understanding. We’ll explore patterns in how you relate, the cycles you get stuck in, the emotions underneath, and the needs that often go unheard.
Sometimes that looks like slowing down heated moments. Sometimes it may look like learning new ways to speak and truly listen. I help each partner feel seen and support you in rebuilding safety and choice in your relationship.
How often do I need to come to therapy?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and safety. Depending on your needs, we may move to biweekly or check-ins over time. We’ll tailor the frequency based on your goals, availability, and what feels sustainable.
How long does therapy last?
That depends on you. Some people come in for a specific issue and feel complete after a few months. Others stay longer to deepen their insight and transformation. I practice depth and meaning-oriented therapy, so we’ll go at a pace that honors your readiness.
Are you LGBTQ+ affirming?
Absolutely. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. My practice is grounded in compassion, inclusivity, and respect for all lived experiences.
What if I've had a bad experience in therapy before?
I hear this often. Many people have felt dismissed, misunderstood, or even retraumatized in past therapy. My goal is to create a space that feels different. I hope to show you a space where you're met with respect and genuine care. We’ll move at your pace, and you’re always welcome to share your concerns.
