Polyamory & ENM Therapy in Denver

Navigate the unique opportunities and challenges of consensually non-monogamous relationships with therapy that is grounded in curiosity rather than judgment.

Every relationship has its own agreements, values, and ways of expressing love and commitment. For people practicing polyamory or other forms of consensual non-monogamy (ENM), therapy should begin with understanding your relationship structure and not questioning whether it should exist. Whether you're opening a relationship, navigating jealousy, strengthening communication, repairing trust, or simply wanting to build healthier connections, therapy offers a collaborative space to better understand one another and create relationships that reflect your shared values.

I provide affirming therapy for individuals, couples, and partners navigating consensual non-monogamy. My goal is to help you understand the patterns in the relationships that matter most to you.

My office is conveniently located on the Westminster/Arvada border, making in-person therapy accessible for clients throughout the Denver metro area, including Westminster, Arvada, Broomfield, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, and Northwest Denver. I also offer secure online therapy for adults anywhere in Colorado.

You might be here because...

  • You're considering opening your relationship and want to approach it thoughtfully.

  • Jealousy or comparison are creating tension within your relationships.

  • You're working to rebuild trust after agreements were broken.

  • Communication around boundaries, expectations, or needs has become difficult.

  • You're trying to balance multiple relationships without losing yourself in the process.

  • You're navigating differences in relationship desires or levels of openness.

  • You're feeling overwhelmed by the emotional complexity of consensual non-monogamy.

  • You're looking for a therapist who understands ENM without asking you to defend or justify your relationships.

Understanding Your Experience

Consensual non-monogamy doesn't eliminate the challenges that exist in relationships, yet it asks us to navigate many of them with greater intentionality.

Questions around trust, attachment, communication, boundaries, vulnerability, and emotional security exist in every relationship. In ENM relationships, these conversations are often more explicit because there are fewer cultural scripts telling you what your relationship "should" look like. That can create both incredible opportunities for intentional connection and unique challenges that require ongoing communication.

When difficulties arise, often they're connected to patterns that exist across all relationships: fear of abandonment, difficulty expressing needs, unresolved conflict, unclear agreements, painful past experiences, or struggles with trust and emotional safety.

Therapy will be about helping you better understand yourselves and one another so your relationships can reflect the values, agreements, and kind of connection you genuinely want to create.

How I Often Approach This Work

Healthy non-monogamous relationships require more than good communication. They require self-awareness, emotional honesty, flexibility, and the ability to navigate difficult conversations with curiosity rather than defensiveness. My work focuses on understanding the relational patterns beneath conflict while helping partners strengthen trust and create relationships that feel sustainable. The approaches below guide that work while remaining responsive to the unique dynamics of your relationships.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to explain polyamory to you?

No. While every relationship is unique as the individuals in it, my goal is to understand your specific relationship rather than asking you to educate me about consensual non-monogamy itself. We can spend our time focusing on your relationships instead of defending them.

Do you only work with people who are already practicing ethical non-monogamy?

Not at all. I work with people who are curious about consensual non-monogamy, considering opening their relationship, actively practicing ENM, or trying to determine what kind of relationship structure best fits their values.

Will you encourage us to stay polyamorous?

No. My role isn't to advocate for one relationship structure over another. Instead, therapy helps you better understand yourselves and the choices that feel most authentic and sustainable for you.

Can therapy help with jealousy?

Absolutely. Jealousy is a common human emotion, not a sign that you're "bad at polyamory." Together, we can explore what your jealousy may be communicating and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult emotions.

What if our relationship agreements have been broken?

Repair is possible, but it often requires honesty, accountability, and a willingness to understand what happened beneath the surface. Therapy can help you navigate these conversations while rebuilding trust where appropriate.

Do you work with triads, polycules, or multiple partners?

Yes. I welcome people navigating a variety of consensually non-monogamous relationship structures and strive to create a space where every relationship configuration is treated with respect and curiosity.

Let’s Work Together

There is no single blueprint for a healthy relationship. Whether you're practicing polyamory, exploring consensual non-monogamy, or just trying to build a relationship that better reflects your values, I'd be honored to walk alongside your relationship.
